This seagull in Plymouth, MA let me get very close to snap its picture as it rested on a pier.
I only discovered later that the reason it let me get so close was because its leg and wing were injured. I was upset, but even later learned that everyone who came across this bird felt very sorry and not only called the local animal rescue, but gave it lots of food.
So, in the end, I got a nifty picture of a wild bird and it got lots of food.
I really like this picture because you took the picture with your main subject off center, which makes it more interesting. I also like it because its subject is a very cute bird. I'm glad someone called the animal rescue so it could be helped.
Identifying the seagull (a minor compulsion I have from being a birder) was quite a challenge because I'm not familiar with birds of the East coast. However, I think I found it in my bird book. I believe it's a juvenile Great Black-backed Gull that's been through its first winter.
When did it suddenly become cool to hate everything? It's a growing problem, especially in the entertainment world, and no one benefits from an increasingly hard to please, pessimistic audience.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
